Handcrafted breads, buttery pastries, and curated pantry essentials — made fresh daily on North 10th Street for the community that gathers around the table.
Every loaf rests for 24 to 48 hours. Slow fermentation develops complex flavor, a tender crumb, and a crust that shatters at the touch — nothing rushed, nothing artificial.
Stone-milled flour, sea salt, cultured butter, seasonal fruit — we source from regional mills and local growers. What you taste is exactly what went into it.
Our ovens fire at dawn. By mid-morning, the display cases are full — warm croissants, rustic loaves, and seasonal specialties that won't last until evening.
48-hour fermented. Thick, crackling crust with an open, tender crumb.
French-style laminated dough. 72 layers of flaky, golden pastry.
Rotating selection of tarts, danishes, and hand-piped éclairs made each morning.
Small-batch olive oils, local honey, artisan cheeses, and specialty baking ingredients.
Made here.
Baked, curated, and served right here on North 10th Street — for our neighbors, every day.
Nectar Avenue started with a simple conviction: that the best bread shouldn't be rushed. We opened our doors in McAllen to bring the rhythm of slow fermentation and handcrafted technique to a community that values real food.
Every morning, our bakers arrive before dawn. Dough is mixed, shaped, and left to rest through the night. By the time we open, the ovens are warm and the display cases are full — sourdough boules with deep mahogany crusts, laminated pastries layered by hand, and seasonal items that change with what the local market offers.
Beyond the bakery counter, we've curated a selection of pantry staples — olive oils from small producers, raw honey from Texas apiaries, artisan cheeses, and baking ingredients worth seeking out. It's a grocery section built the way we'd shop for ourselves.
